Definition This refers to persons aged 6 to 24 years who are not attending school by reasons for not attending school such as i) School is very far; ii) No school within the barangay; iii) No regular transportation; iv) High cost of education; v) Illness/Disability; vi) Housekeeping; vii) Marriage; viii) Employment/looking for work; ix) Lack of personal interest; x) Cannot cope with school work; xi) Finished schooling; xii) Problem with school record; xiii) Problem with birth certificate; xiv) Too young to go to school; and xv) Family income not sufficient to sendchild to school.
Method of Computation total number of children by reason of not going to school divided by the total number of children not in school
