An agricultural facility refers to physical structure or infrastructure designed and used for agricultural activities. These facilities can include warehouses, storage buildings, barns, greenhouses, processing units, drying facilities, or other structures that support the production, processing, and storage of agricultural products.
An aquaculture facility is a designated area or structure where aquatic species, such as fish, crustaceans, mollusks, or aquatic plants, are cultivated, bred, and harvested. Aquaculture facilities can include fishponds, fish tanks, floating cages, hatcheries, nurseries, or any controlled environment where aquaculture activities are conducted.

A fishery facility refers to infrastructure or locations involved in the fishing industry. These facilities can include fish landing sites, fish processing plants, fish auctions, fish markets, or any other structures or areas where fish are handled, processed, or traded.

Below are the definitions of each agricultural, aquaculture, and fishing facility.

1. Slaughterhouse is a facility where livestock are slaughtered before they are processed as food products for consumption
2. Dressing plant is a facility where slaughtered poultry are cleaned and cut into pieces (fit for consumption) before they are distributed to the markets.
3. Meat cutting plant is a facility where carcasses or primal cuts from animals are further processed into smaller cuts, portions, or value-added meat products. It typically involves skilled workers using specialized equipment to prepare meat products according to specific requirements or market demands.
4. Storage facility refers to structures or spaces used for the temporary holding or preservation of agricultural or fishery products. These facilities help maintain product quality, prevent spoilage, and enable proper inventory management before distribution or further processing.
5. Cold storage facility also known as refrigerated warehouses or cold rooms, are specialized facilities designed to store perishable goods, including fish and seafood, at low temperatures to maintain their freshness and extend their shelf life. These facilities typically utilize refrigeration systems to create controlled environments with precise temperature and humidity levels.
6. Crop processing facility refers to establishments where agricultural crops, such as grains, fruits, or vegetables, are processed or transformed into value-added products. These facilities may include milling plants, fruit processing plants, canning facilities, or other facilities that handle post-harvest processing and packaging of crops.
7. Fish processing facility is specialized facility where fish and seafood undergo various processing steps, transforming them into value-added products ready for consumption or further distribution. These facilities handle tasks such as cleaning, filleting, freezing, canning, smoking, and packaging of fish and seafood.
8. Research facility for agriculture is specialized facility dedicated to conducting scientific research and experimentation related to agriculture. It may include laboratories, experimental fields, greenhouses, or other facilities where researchers study crops, livestock, pests, diseases, soil, genetics, or other aspects of agricultural science.
9. Layer farm is a facility specifically designed for the commercial production of eggs by laying hens. It typically includes housing structures, feeding, and watering systems, and egg collection facilities to maintain optimal conditions for egg laying hens.
10. Hatchery for aquafarm species is a facility where eggs or larvae of aquatic species, such as fish or shrimp, are incubated, hatched, and reared under controlled conditions. Hatcheries play a crucial role in the production of seedstock for aquaculture operations.
11. Breeding/multiplier farm for livestock is a facility is where specific breeds or lines of livestock animals, such as cattle, pigs, or goats, are bred and raised to produce superior genetics or breeding stock. These farms focus on maintaining and improving desirable traits in livestock populations.
12. Breeding farm for poultry is a facility where specific poultry breeds, such as chickens or turkeys, are bred and raised to produce high-quality breeding stock. These farms focus on genetic selection and breeding programs to enhance traits like growth rate, meat quality, egg production, or disease resistance.
13. Nursery is a place where young plants, trees or vines are propagated for the purpose of transplanting. It could be in an open area or under a protective cover. Some nurseries specialize in one or more specific phase of the process of growing plants: propagation, growing out, or retail sale; or in one or more types of plant: groundcover, shade plant, fruit tree, or rock garden plant. A greenhouse, screenhouse or nethouse is a building where plants are grown. A greenhouse is a structure with different types of covering materials, such as glass or plastic roof and frequently has glass or plastic walls. It heats up because incoming visible radiation from the sun is absorbed by the plants, soil, and other things inside the building. A screenhouse, on the other hand, uses screens as covering materials for the roof and walls to protect the plants usually under nursery. Moreover, a nethouse uses nets (such as fishnets) as covering materials.
14. Veterinary/para-veterinary clinic is a medical facility where veterinarians or para-veterinary professionals provide healthcare services for animals. These clinics offer medical treatments, vaccinations, diagnostics, and preventive care for livestock, poultry, and other animals.
15.        Permanent agricultural produce market refers to temporary markets or organized events where farmers or traders come together on specific days or intervals to sell agricultural products. These markets may operate weekly, monthly, or seasonally to facilitate the exchange of agricultural produce.
16.        Periodic agricultural produce market refers to temporary markets or organized events where farmers or traders come together on specific days or intervals to sell agricultural products. These markets may operate weekly, monthly, or seasonally to facilitate the exchange of agricultural produce.
17.        Traditional fish landing is a location, typically near the coastline or river, where fishing vessels unload their catch. These fish landing sites are often basic and may lack infrastructure or facilities for processing or storage.
18.        Non-traditional fish landing refers to a modernized or improved fish landing site equipped with infrastructure and facilities for efficient handling, processing, and storage of fish catch. These sites may have cold storage, processing areas, auction halls, or other amenities to support the fishery sector.
19.        Other facilities refer to other agricultural/aquaculture/fishery facilities not mentioned above.
