The following agencies serve as partner and source of basic data:

Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO)
Achieving food security for all is at the heart of FAO's efforts – to make sure people have regular access to enough high-quality food to lead active, healthy lives.

 

Department of Agriculture (DA)
Increase the income of farmers and fisherfolk, thereby contributing to the achievement of the national goals of alleviating poverty, generating productive opportunities, fostering social justice and equity, and promoting sustainable economic growth.

 

National Food Authority (NFA)
Promoting the integrated growth and development of the grains industry covering rice, corn, feed grains and other grains like sorghum, mongo, and peanut.

 

Food and Nutrition Research Institute (FNRI)
The lead agency in food and nutrition research and development in the country.

 

Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR)
The primary government agency responsible for the conservation, management, development, and proper use of the country’s environment and natural resources, specifically forest and grazing lands, mineral resources, including those in reservation and watershed areas, and lands of the public domain, as well as the licensing and regulation of all natural resources as may be provided for by law in order to ensure equitable sharing of the benefits derived therefrom for the welfare of the present and future generations of Filipinos.

 

Department of Budget and Management (DBM)
The lead public expenditure management to ensure the equitable, prudent, transparent and accountable allocation and use of public funds to improve the quality of life of each and every Filipino.

 

Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD)
To develop, implement and coordinate social protection and poverty reduction solutions for and with the poor, vulnerable and disadvantaged.

 

Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR)
The lead implementing agency of Comprehensive Agrarian Reform Program (CARP). It undertakes land tenure improvement, development of program beneficiaries, and agrarian justice delivery. Virgilio de los Reyes is the current secretary of DAR.

 

National Nutrition Council (NNC)
To orchestrate efforts of government, private sector, international organizations and other stakeholders at all levels, in addressing hunger and malnutrition of Filipinos through: Policy and program formulation and coordination; Capacity development; Promotion of good nutrition; Nutrition surveillance; Resource generation and mobilization Advocacy; and Partnership and alliance building.

 

Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA)
Protecting lives and properties through timely, accurate and reliable weather-related information and services.

 

Bureau of Soils and Water Management (BSWM)
To establish a technology and policy environment that will ensure the attainment of vibrant rural areas characterized by a sustainable agriculture and fishery productivity and institutionalize the judicious use of the base soil and water resources of the country.
