Notes:

For the new series, the monthly average wholesale price per commodity  by region is computed as the arithmetic mean of the monthly average prices of its provinces. For the Philippines,  the monthly average wholesale price per commodity is the arithmetic mean of the monthly average prices of all provinces.

For the old data series, the monthly average wholesale price per commodity by region is computed as  the weighted monthly average wholesale prices of its provinces with  total number of respondents per province as weights.  Similarly, the monthly average wholesale price per commodity for the Philippines is computed as weighted monthly average wholesale prices of  the regions, using the total number of respondents of the region as weights.
