Notes:

For the new series, the monthly average farmgate price by region per commodity is computed as the arithmetic mean of the average prices of the provinces. For the national level, the monthly average farmgate price per commodity is the arithmetic mean of the average prices of the regions.

For the old data series, the monthly average farmgate price by region per commodity is computed as weighted monthly average farmgate prices of the provinces of the region, using as weights the volume of production from the various agricultural production surveys conducted by PSA.  Similarly, the monthly average farmgate price per commodity at the national level is computed as weighted monthly average farmgate prices of the regions, using as weights the volume of production of the regions.
