The total number of barangays based on the Philippine Standard Geographic Code as of 31 December 2013 was 42,028.
However, only 41,984 barangays were covered in the 2012 CAF enumeration. There were 18 barangays of Baganga,
eight barangays of Boston, and 16 barangays of Cateel in Davao Oriental were not covered because the households
in these municipalities were displaced due to typhoon Pablo. Also, Barangay Uauang-Galicia in Santo Tomas,
Isabela was not covered because the barangay was devastated by flood. Nevertheless, households in these barangays
might have been enumerated in other municipalities where they were temporarily relocated. Likewise, Barangay Bagong Lipunan (Market Area)
in Baguio City, Benguet was not enumerated because the barangay has been delisted based on Exclusion Case No. 96-01.
