Indicator Farmer's share to consumer peso
Definition Farmer's share to consumer peso refers to the ratio of food farm price to food retail price. It analyzes farmer's income in relation to consumer money spent on food items in retail markets. It indicates how much of the price paid by the consumers goes back to the farmers.
Farmgate Prices refer to payments received by farmers for the sale of their produce at the first point of sale regardless of whether sold in the farm or elsewhere.
Method of Computation FSC = [ (Qt x Pft) / Prt] * 100

where:
FSC = Farmer's share in percent
Qt = the conversion factor of farms products to marketable prodcut
Pft = the farm price at time t
Prt = the retail price at time t
