Indicator Carabao Inventory by age
Definition Inventory refers to the actual number of animals (in bird) present in the farm as of a specific reference date regardless of ownership
Reference Date:
January Round - as of January 1
Caracow – sexually mature female carabao that has given birth at least once and with age of 3 years old and above.
Carabull-sexually mature uncastrated male carabao usually kept for breeding.
Caraheifer- sexually mature female carabao that has not yet given birth.
Yearling -a large animal of either sex, at least 12 months of age but has not reached sexual maturity. It also includes caracalf and carabaos with the age of 1 year old but below two (2) years old. Caracalf is a male or female carabao under one year of age.
Others-includes castrated (steer) and ready to breed carabull
